i enjoy making, listening to, and learning about the world through sound.

this project was created while living in Lancaster, UK, studying in Linda O'Keeffe's class: Acoustic Ecology and the Sociology of Sound.

at this time, and throughout this course i ate many meals of beans and rice (one of my favourite meals).

for my final class project, i recorded and produced a sonic meditation in honor of this meal and the ways that this food nourished me.

this work spsecifically draws on principles of Deep Listening (Pauline Oliveros) a practice in which i explore sonic embodiment and internal/external listening.

i shared this work in the 2018 Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts final exhibition.
